Since 1974, Midwest Center for Hearing Excellence has provided a full range of hearing care services. Audiologists are professionals who specialize in the evaluation and non-medical treatment of hearing loss. Audiologists have extensive training and skills to evaluate the hearing of infants, children and adults. Our audiologists are certified nationally by the American Speech, Hearing and Language Association (ASHA) and/or the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). Audiologists conduct a wide variety of tests to determine the exact nature of an individual's hearing problem. Audiologists dispense and fit hearing aids, administer tests of balance to help evaluate dizziness, and provide hearing rehabilitation training. Audiologists refer patients to physicians when the hearing problem needs medical or surgical evaluation. Our direct working relationship with the physicians of MWENT Consultants facilitates excellent and timely care for our patient's hearing health.

Our goal is to provide each patient with the best possible hearing care, based upon individual needs. We believe the ability to hear and communicate is important to the quality of life. We pride ourselves in combining a caring approach with the most current diagnostic and rehabilitative treatment. We work closely with referring physicians to ensure that our patients receive appropriate hearing care. Referrals are accepted from a variety of sources including self, physicians, and managed care organizations.

Amanda Diederich, M.S.,CCC-A
Amanda has been practicing Audiology at Midwest, Ear, Nose and Throat Consultants since June 2006. Amanda earned a Master’s of Science in 2006 from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. She is a member of the American Speech Hearing Language Association, American Academy of Audiology, and the Illinois Academy of Audiology. She specializes in treating patients with hearing difficulties, in both pediatric and geriatric populations. She is also trained in fitting and programming advanced hearing technology as well as providing custom hearing protection such as swim plugs, and the latest in assistive listening devices. Amanda sees patients at the Geneva location.

Dana Terry, Au.D., FAAA
Dana is a licensed audiologist. She joined the Midwest Ear, Nose, and Throat Consultants staff in June 2008. Dana received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from Augustana College in 2004 and a Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from Northern Illinois University in 2008. Dana is a member of the Illinois Academy of Audiology and the American Academy of Audiology. Dana evaluates, counsels, and treats patients who are aged birth to geriatric having hearing disorders. She also fits custom swim plugs and hearing protection devices, including noise reduction and musician’s earplugs, and programs up-to-date digital amplification technology. Dana sees patients at the Naperville location.

Lauren O'Flaherty, Au.D.
Lauren has been with Midwest Ear, Nose, and Throat Consultants since March of 2008. Before starting at Midwest she was with a private Audiology practice in both Naperville and Chicago. She enjoys working in a setting alongside physicians; providing her patients with the best possible care. She received her Doctorate of Audiology from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. She is fluent in American Sign Language and has received a certificate of Deaf Studies from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the Illinois Academy of Audiology. Lauren sees patients at the Winfield location.


Roshni Patel, M.S.CCC-A
Roshni has been an Audiologist with Midwest Ear, Nose, and Throat Consultants since 1999. She received her Bachelors in Communicative Disorders from Northern Illinois University and earned her Masters of Science degree in Audiology from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. Roshni specializes in diagnostic testing of patients of all ages. She is a mother of two young active children and appreciates the needs of pediatric patients. She is a member of the Illinois Academy of Audiology and the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. She currently see patients at the Winfield location.
